The “Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure” or AIPP yearly grants the acclaimed AIPP AWARD to professional hairdressers within different categories. The intention of this award is to recognise outstanding achievement by world-class hairdressers and fashion photographers.
AIPP is an association that assembles 71 magazines from 35 countries representing nearly all of the trade publications addressed to hairdressers throughout the world. Not surprisingly its annual award is called the “Grand Trophy” from the professional press.
Each of these categories has a small selection of 10 finalists:
– Best Avant-Garde Fashion Collection
– Best Commercial Collection
– Best Photo
– Best Men’s Collection
– Best Promotional Video
This year, Paul Gehring has been nominated as a finalist for the “Best Men’s Collection” due to his excellent work in the male part of the ALCINA – Bohemian Femme vs. Business Woman collection, which launches this September.
Winners will be announced in late September, and the ceremony of the AIPP AWARDS 2011-2012 will take place during the world’s most renowned hairdressing event, the ALTERNATIVE HAIR SHOW 2011 at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, London (UK) on Sunday, October 16th.
